Unintentional 'rearing stallion' track stand

Out for an early ride this morning, decided to try some steep climbs as it was nice and slippy. Almost at the top of one, running out of puff, got distracted - front wheel lifted off the ground and I came to a stop.
Must've looked rather daft, balanced on the back wheel not moving for fear of falling backwards, just out of reach of the top. Held it for about a minute before keeling over to one side.

Why didn't you just lean forwards and keep going?Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0

Yeah, that would've been the logical thing to do. Monday morning, logic wasn't happening. So I just sat there as long as I could balance wondering which way I was more likely to fall. :P0

Hahaha - I've got a brilliant mental picture now - did you have a really puzzled look on your face like "and how did this happen?"Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0

I had an "even more puzzled than usual" expression on my face. I raised my game.
Absolutely lovely out in the woods this morning. Proper Autumnal.0 -

A minute's like now......and now.
Nope. Most that could've been is 59 seconds. I know a minute when I see one.0
