Is the PAVE SL seatpost compatible with the Tricross Sport ?

Folks,
Does anyone know if the 27.2mm diameter/350mm length Specialized Carbon Pave SL Seatpost compatible with a Specialized Tricross Sport 2008 bike ? Do I need a different collar or will the existing collar on the Tricross work fine ?

    If it's the same sizes seat post it will fit - take the existing one out of your tri-cross and read what's written on it.

    The size is the same (27.2mm diameter) but that is not the issue I was concerned about. The Pave SL post supposedly "requires" and angled seat collar. Is this a real issue or will the existing collar on the Tricross work fine ?

    Is there anyone out there who has played around with this combination, i.e. a Pave SL post on a Tricross and could share their experience ?

    I've used the post with and without the angled collar with no issues. I do use Tacx carbon paste though.
