Folks,
Does anyone know if the 27.2mm diameter/350mm length Specialized Carbon Pave SL Seatpost compatible with a Specialized Tricross Sport 2008 bike ? Do I need a different collar or will the existing collar on the Tricross work fine ?
Thanks in advance.

If it's the same sizes seat post it will fit - take the existing one out of your tri-cross and read what's written on it.Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0

The size is the same (27.2mm diameter) but that is not the issue I was concerned about. The Pave SL post supposedly "requires" and angled seat collar. Is this a real issue or will the existing collar on the Tricross work fine ?
Is there anyone out there who has played around with this combination, i.e. a Pave SL post on a Tricross and could share their experience ?
Thanks.BMC Pro Machine

I've used the post with and without the angled collar with no issues. I do use Tacx carbon paste though.0
