There seems to be a disused railway line between Cold Norton and Maldon that has some access...any one used it? Hoping to link it up with the Blackwater/Chelmer towpath ride.
Thanks

Not used the Cold Norton to Maldon one but there is one from heybridge to witham.
If you go along heybridge approach there's a fishing lake, go in there to elms park farm and the route runs parrallel to the road, eventually you'll get to a humpback bridge and you'll have to ride on the road for a bit, head towards witham on the backroad and eventually you'll get to another bridge, just before it there's a path you go down and that'll join you up with the old line again pretty much all the way to Witham.
Not sure about the cold Norton one but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
The current Maldon bypass is also part of the old line and it's where Eddie Kidd shot the jump for ridding high, do a search for it on youtube and you might recognise it!
