Kohl also says that when Ricco was nabbed for CERA that the Mekon was scared of getting off the team bus!

I guess we should be careful about demonising these riders with the news events of VDB.
Some critics spout off as though these dopers are accused of Crimes against Humanity.
The riders themselves are taking all the risks and let alone all the risks with drugs they have the physical injuries of serious crashes. Let's try not to hound Kohl into being another Frank VDB.

  • Kohl probably isn't such a self-deluded fruitcake as VDB or Pantani, due perhaps to the brevity of his period of "success". He's not deperately clinging to the self-image of a champion rider the way some do/did.

It's weird I don't get some people's reactions. When guys lie or clam up about this stuff everyone blasts them. When a guy like Kohl spills the beans people criticize him for it and say he must be doing it for the attention, for a book or for money. ??? Personally, I see nothing but good coming out of this. Every extra bit of info lets them better understand what they're fighting against and how to prevent future cases like this.

I prefer what Mr donrhummy is putting over. Anything to help reduce the risk of riders putting themselves in harms way is a top priority.
I watched that Paris stage where Kohl and Schu were later discredited but I haven't got an axe to grind with them. I am concerned that they inject themselves with anything going to get results; that is pretty nuts in my book.
I must also admit that if someone put a Pill infront of me saying that I can be on the Podium of the Tour de France after 10-20 years of racing; then I would be tempted.
I find a few people who get off on grinding down caught riders must have led a life Holier than anyone before.
I watched a programme last night saying that Utah is the most conservative State in the US. They are quick to critisize and ban everything going; extremely Evangeligal (spelling). They also have the highest Porn Downloads of the US.
If we all put our cards on the table and admitted our little skeleton's then we'd all look like a bunch of chumps.
These riders have been caught and banned. If Kohl has any info on other riders or new drugs then let him talk. The Omerta that existed for years seems to be broken and that we should be glad about.
    Cheers Jerry

But is it the same set of people saying both things? Probably not.
