2010 Tour de France - Independent Travelling Advice

I'm hoping that when the official TdF route is announced on Weds it's confirmed that there will be a stage finish and start in Morzine (separated by a rest day). I'll be looking to get over there with a group of 4 (3 with bikes.) Last year I went with Graham Baxter and the trip was relatively snag-free. However, judging by the Etape thread, this isn't always the case so this year I'm looking to go independently.
I'm happy with sorting the accommodation, etc, but I'm wondering if anyone has advice on bike carriage? We'd be flying into Geneva, hiring a car, and would have 3 bike boxes to transport. What would be the best way to transport these? Would they fit in a large MPV? Is it possible to hire a trailer? Or is Graham Baxter the best bet? Any advice gratefully received!

Just drive from the U.K. It is so much better than flying. Pack up the car or better a van, take what you want rather than what you can carry. You could even do it that one drives and picks up the others in Geneva and someone else drives home. A roadtrip is always a good adventure and it will be much cheaper that flying and hiring a car.
Don't think you can hire a trailer anyway but you can get a van (minibus), with 3 bike boxes you will need one.
Best of luck and enjoy the trip.0
