Planning a trip to do the Cli-machX trail at Machynlleth on the 17th October - anyone know if the trail will be closed due to motorsports (apparently happens several times every year)?

Also, does anyone have the postcode for the ClimachX trailhead?

Cheers

When you cross over the river look for the green mountain bike signs.

Don't think there are any rally's this weekend but check with local tourist board if you are worried.

I did the Cli-MachX a few weeks ago, great trail as well by the way. Got there at 10ish and after I'd finished went down to Nant y Arian and did the Summit trail. Both easily do-able in one day, even for someone of my questionable fitness!. Its only down the road so to speak so might be worth thinking about if your in the area.
If you do though beware the Leg Burner section :D

The postcode was good - cheers mate 8)

As I promised, here's the video. (This is the compilation - I'll post up the entire final descent when I get more time to edit the footage - which wasn't the best due to strong sunlight between the trees - not that I'm complaining about the weather!).

That trail is awesome - I love it - but it's short. You need to do it twice.

    Enjoy... more to come :D

The WRC hasn't been there since the british leg was called the RAC rally, I'm sure.
However, there are a few local rallies. Apart from them, the forest is also used occasionally for the British Rally Championship, and the Cambrian Rally.
