good evening everyone, I've just become the lucky owner of this:
want to find out when it was built if I can and what it's made of, is there somewhere I can find info on this kind of stuff?
It's got 650c wheels front AND back, nice internal routing for brake and gear cables, 50cm frame, a thing of beauty?
There's very little on-line about Rick Powell, everything seems positive though...
Any info gratefully received!

Rick Powell used to be a frame builder at Carlton Cycles Worksop,so Iam told. .He set up on his own during the 1980's following the closure of the Worksop factory. I have one of his frames, not as nice as yours.
Yours could be a Reynolds 753.bagpuss0 -
I used to work at Freewheel in Sheffield and we use to send people to Rick Powell to get frames repainted or repaired, crash damage or repainting after burning stuck alloy seatposts out of steel frames using caustic soda (it works but 'boils' paint off!). They were based in Dinnington if I recall and though I didn't deal with them myself I got the impression that they knew what they were doing...0

try Universal cycles, I spoke to Dave Marsh & found him very useful.0
