Giant Defy range seat tube and top tube lengths

Hi,
Can anyone provide me with or tell me where I can easily get the seat tube and top tube measurements for the Ginat Defy range?
I have had various measurements done and as with others I have a longer torso and shorter legs. So, now I got proper measurements my inseam is 28 +6/8 inches so I estimate seat tube 45-48cm which puts me in the small frame category however my reach is closer to 56cm and I need to see where that falls in the Defy range. Given that this is a compact bike I am correct to say that the seat tube height it no big deal and reach is much more important - therefore if a medium works out best does that mean I can still stand without causing any problems!
Thanks.

2009 Giant Defy geometry is here...
2010 model looks exactly the same.
I found the top tube to be 'long' compared to other bikes.0 -
Top tube length is the important one. Not sure exactly what the reach measurement is you talk about, but IMO unless you're less than ~5'6" then I can't see you needing a small.
I'm 5'8 and a bit with average geometry and most of my bikes have a ~55cm top tube.More problems but still living....0 -
Thanks for the advice. Having looked again at my measurements and the figures for both the seat tube, standover and top tube suggest that I should at least be trying a Medium for size. Thanks.0

Might not be much help to you but I'm 5'6" and ride a small Defy 1 with a shorter stem than spec.d 90mm instead of 100 but I'm not very flexible!!!' From the sharks in the penthouse,
to the rats in the basement,
its not that far '0 -
I'm 5'9 with inside leg of 30 and I used to ride a Giant TCR medium with 100mm stem. I also had a small as a TT bike.0

Hi
I am 6'3" with a 34" inside leg.I have two Large (55.5) Giant bikes.A TCR Advanced 1 and a Bowery. The 55.5 is equivelant to a 58cm in traditional geometry. The top tube length on the Defy is aprox 10mm shorter than the TCR.My winter bike is a 58 Trek 1000.
Hope it helps

I'm 6' 3" with 32 inside leg and have a Giant Defy3 in M/L and it is just right. I tried the large but the top tube was just too long for comfort. The M/L gives a good low touring position good for a lot of miles. Saying that though I'm 39 and have a back suffering from a snowboarding and getting old!0
