  • Whats the age of the laptop ? how long have you had it ? how much use did it get ?

Can you plug the laptop into another monitor ?

Can you run it off the battery ok or does it produce the same fault with the mains adaptor attached ?

Is there any other devices attached (ie...external dvd or cr writer )...this may draw power from the battery !
If you fall off try again !

L8ly I have been experiencing flicker on the screen of my laptop, especially on a black screen. I have updated drivers and tried to adjust the refresh rate but I will not let me adjust it stays at 69hz.

Would this be a hardware problem? ie graphics card? Seems to happen more when the laptop gets warm.

All help is greatly appreciated in advance.

Couldn't you pray for God to sort it out for you?:D

Sorry, not getting at you, don't mean anything by it, just a funny thought that popped into my head.

how comfy are you around the insides of a pc?

My housemates laptop was doing this, and getting really hot, because she uses it in bed, leaves it on on the floor etc. opened it up and the exhaust vent was completely blocked with dust and fluff. I cleaned it out and it is still going strong 10 months later.

just beware you might not be able to get into the fan vents easily might be a lot of taking apart, i suggest photos when doing it.

Although, i'm probably too late and you're now waist deep in it.
