Penicuik to Pentlands off road
Hi,
I can cycle from Dalkeith to Penicuik via the cycle path, does anyone know a route from Penicuik to the Pentland Hills so I can include a loop round the cycle trail in my training run that doesn't involve cycling along the main (A702?) road as I don't fancy a 38 tonne arctic 6" from my rear wheel.

Surely its not the far to Flotterstone or Scald Law from Penicuik?. Is it the reservoir loop you do ?. I did the variation round the firing range to Bonaly last week which was good , quite a drop down the hill to dreghorn riding through streams. Would be interested to find any new routes anyone has.0
