Damaged Rim

I've managed to damage the rim on my rear wheel, the damage is on one side of the rim wall, I have tried to show it using diagrams because I don't have the wheel to take a photo of right now (will upload a photo of the damage later).
Is it possible to have this type of damage repaired...
The wheel is also slightly buckled... If the wheel can be trued I can probably live with a small dent in the rim wall... Did it at Coed'y'Brennin on the first DH section (dream time).... In this video, [3.49] is when I did it...

Bicycle rims are generally bade quite minimal so there is not much you can do. I have bent a few back with a old Camag chain crimp tool but there always much weaker after and never last long. Its just the way aluminium alloys are. I guess I could try heat treating them again but its easy enough just to fit a new rim. As for flatted rims there nothing really you can practically do apart from replace the rim.0

This is a Mavic Crossmax ST wheel, so i don't know where I could even get a new rim?0

Any Mavic dealer should be able to help or you can just give the UK Mavic Service Centurion a call.0

I used to use a little trick years ago on my bmx wheels, it may work for you, get 2 strips of metal plate (approx 3inches long - tape up with electricians tape so the rim doesnt get marked), place on either side of the rim wall so its sandwiched in between them, then get a g clamp or locking pliers and apply pressure until the the dent is as flush in between the 2 plates of metal. Basically you're squashing the rim in between the 2 plates.0

TS cycles in Long Eaton< Derbyshire claim to be able to get all Mavic parts. Got me some hard to find spokes recently. Give them a try.Interviewer: ‘So Frank, you have long hair. Does that make you a woman?’
Frank Zappa: ‘You have a wooden leg. Does that make you a table?”0 -
If the rim is flat spotted, it won't tension evenly. If it is just a ding, and a bit of the wall folded - well, you can bend back with an adjustable spanner, but this weakens it more.
Sometimes best just to leave them.0
