Hi all,
Am heading to Aviemore for some riding for 3 days next week, and saw this route on youtube.....

I know the guys on it say to ask for details of how to get to this trail at Bothy Bikes, but was just wonderin if anyone knows where this is, or has done it? Looks amazing but just wanted to know what its like? :D

It's not Aviemore but around 30 miles north and part of the Moray monster trails . Ive never ridden it but was born and brought up in the area. Supposed to be really good.
  • Ah cheers mate, found it now from your map. Seems a bit of a drive away from Aviemore, so may just do stuff on the doorstep of the village. Im goin to hopefully get up there early afternoon Sunday, so may blast round Rothiemurchus on Sunday, then climb up to the ski centre on Monday and blast back down. Not sure about the Tuseday tho, so I may drop into Bothy Bikes and see what they can suggest......

Thanks for the response, and I think that may be one for next summer one weekend!

Not so sure it isn't the large hill called Craigellachie that sits just behind Aviemore - there are 2 craigellachies in Strathspey :!: The one behind Aviemore has some trails and paths round it (and is a National Nature Reserve) but is easily accessible from the Town - just round the back of the big Resort Hotel) - as the vid says, ask Bothy Bikes!

We too are heading there this afternoon, we are heading for Feshiebridge, awesome double black diamond and sweet singletrack
  • Hmmm may give that a try. Ill have the car with me anyways, but would prefer not to have to take the bike carrier. Im headin there with Caravan so bike goes in there to get me to Aviemore :D

So we were up Aviemore the weekend, had a good all dayer via the Ryvoan pass. So is this place up the mountain effectively behind the italian restaurant by the roundabout???

    Cheers

If it's where I think it is - yes

Reyvoan Pass is a good ride - done it a couple of times - so much good riding around that way - even the "family type" rides are fantastic.
