Effin snapped chain

Chain took a kamakzi on the way to a brewery tour with work today. Didn't have any tools and was heading in the wrong direction from home.
Turns out even though the link was bent, with brute force and subtle use of psychology a chain can be fixed.
Crisis over. No beer missed. Though I do have hands like a grubby miner now.
Going to have to take it easy with stomping the pedals until I can get my (grubby) hands on another 7 speed item.
Still a pain in the arse and another inconvenience. I've just been contemplating a new chain for the racer after a years service but never had a thought to the blackened mess thats been hanging on my commuter for 3 years.
Oops.
You never stop leaning.

Any 8 speed chain - just the same as 6 or 7 chains.0
