Hi all
Me and a couple of mates are planning the sustrans route 7 Loch and Glens ride, Glasgow to Inverness over 3 days next May or June for charity. Glasgow-Killin, Killin-Newtonmore, Newtonmore-Inverness.
Never done anything like this before?
Would the route be suitable for my road bike (700x23 tyres etc) or would my mtb with cross tyres be better??
What is the route surface like??
Don't have panniers. Would a back pack be ok??
Are the nightly stops the best option??
What training should we be doing??
Are we mad??
What are the trains like from Inverness to Glasgow. (bike friendly)
What should we pack??
And generally anything else anyone out there can think of to advise us

Not being funny, but why not do a little research (Google) and answer some of your own questions while learning a little at the same time?More problems but still living....0

The section through QE forest park Achray forest and through the forest to Killin is a bit rough, you may struggle on 23 tyres, I split the sidewall of my panaracer tourguards. As far as I remember the rest was OK or there were suitable road options -check the sustrans map.0
