Hey all, iv seen another thread about this but didn't want to hijack the thread.

Anyway, I just replaced both inner tubes on my bike, put it all back together and now the pads rub against the disk quite bad, Iv tried adjusting them but cant get them to stop rubbing any idea's ? or should i just take it to a bike shop and let them sort it ?

Bikes only 2-3 weeks old now so shouldn't need new pads should it ?
thanks for the help in advance

What brakes do you have? Also, what do you mean by "I've tried adjusting them but cant get them to stop rubbing". What have you tried so far?
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

Have a look in the Workshop section (link in my sig) for a guide on stopping disc brake noise and set up.

Sound like either a) the wheels aren't back on properly - in which case, as above, loosen QRs with the bike resting on its wheels. This will push them so they are resting in the correct place.

or b) you've pulled the brake levers while the wheels were off. Should say in the manual how to reset your calipers.
  • all sorted now, i took the wheels back off mess around with them for alittle while and its not sorted :) front one rubs for about a spilt second or so but i put that down to when i last crashed.
