Hello
After i managed to kill the frame on my Specialized Hardtail i have just replaced the frame with a Rockhopper Pro.
Now i need a bottom bracket for it, and i have an almost new HT2 BB and SLX Chainset fitted to my Hardrock frame,
Is it feasable to remove the bottom bracket from my Hardrock frame, and fit it to the Rockhopper along with the SLX chainset.
I notice the HT2 on the Hardrock has spacers fitted to the BB facings, will i need them on the Rockhopper.

Yes, it would work - use the same spacer set up. (2 driveside, 1 non driveside for a 68mm shell and not using E type front mech)
Is the Rockhopper frame faced though?0 -
Hey Sonic cheers for the advice again.
Yes it is a preassembled frame which the previous owner ran single speed so it will have been faced previously.
I assume it doesnt need refacing for each time it has a bottom bracket fitted as it wont come to me with a bb fitted?
The front mech is SLXwww.cree-cottage.co.uk

Did he run an external bottom bracket though?
It is not usually needed to reface again once been done, unless the faces get damaged.0 -
Hi
The Rockhopper Pro came from the factory with the HT2 bottom bracket, however he has been running it single speed since then on a Truvativ set up.www.cree-cottage.co.uk

Cool cheers.
I presume the spacers are needed for the Rockhopper the same as the Hardrock as they have the same BB shell?
