Who's ridden Coed Trallwm?
I just came across this trail centre near Builth.

Despite being miles from anywhere... the black trail is 5km. Is that right? I've heard good things about the Elan Valley and if I were tempted to drive that way I'd want a good day out.
Any thoughts?

Not sure if it’s worth a dedicated trip just for Trallwm it seems to be mainly ridden by locals but it’s worth calling in if you are in the area. There is enough to session for a couple of hours and the steepest trails have a more natural feel than most Wales Centres. I’ve been twice and really enjoyed it. The first time was in pissing rain and we were tripoding and drifting like crazy on the XC bike. Second time was dry and much faster although still a little boggy in places. Take Mud tyres if it’s raining.
If you want to make a day of it you can use bridleways to get to Doethie valley from the centre. This turns the ride into an epic day out this link will give you route information. There is one section that’s 7km Downhill on Singletrack it’s so long you get arm pump before the bottom.

Also in the area you’ve got Cwm Rhaeadr which is just down the road it’s also short but sweet.
Or as you mentioned the Elan valley is just up the road there’s plenty of deserted single track up there to play on.0 -
