Headset shortcut?

Hi,

I'm currently messing about with an old Gary Fisher frame that has WTB headset cups fitted.

Is there any reason why I cannot use these cups and use the remaining bits of the new FSA headset I have, rather than have the hassle of removing the WTB cups?

    maybe maybe not.

    more info needed.

    But generally not possible due to differing designs.
