I have a set of XT (centrelock) hubs & Mavic 717's, excellent condition, only used on road as a spare set with slicks on. Looking for ***. Will get some pics across if interested.
Also have a set of Ritchey WCS Disc wheels from my Boardman Pro HT that i'm selling, as the bike will be sold with one set while I sell the other separately...in VGC so *** for those.
This thread will be updated until you boys tell me which to get for my Specialized HArdrock to improve performance and reduce weight from standard.
I'll keep adding them as i get PM's or links etc from my Wanted ad.

XT hubs will require an adaptor for the disk rotor0

The frame is one of the new lighter Hardrocks. The wheels aren't that heavy, I am not sure Crossrides will save any appreciable weight. I'd guess they are about 2000-2100g. The Crossrides are 1940g.
XT centrelock and 717, with DB spokes will be about 1850g.
If you got a Reba Race fork youd drop a pound in weight.0 -

Already upgraded forks once for these that you recommended as a good buy
Rather not do them again really...Salsa Spearfish 29er

Hmm, well it depends what you want from the bike. The Toras are a great, hard hitting, reliable good performing budget fork, but you are now taking the bike out of the budget arena.
Sell up and get a Decathlon or Boardman?!0 -
Tis always an option if that's my best way forward ?
Although i think a Boardman may blast the budget depending on what i could flog the Hardrock for.
I'm a bit of a tight bugger at times, with a weird view of the world. I don't mind £100 here and there for upgrades but don't like throwing £500 at something LOL
Also still quite gutted from when my almost new Cube was stolen (that i'm paying for for another 2 years hahahahaha)Salsa Spearfish 29er

Lol, that is the nature of the beast when upgrading. It gets worse when you upgrade, then upgrade the same part again hehe.
