Grizedale Forest - Mysterious Red Arrows?????
Hello All,
I was up in Grizedale Forest riding on the North Face trail yesterday (enjoyed it a lot!).
I could help but notice some mysterious Red arrow markings painted on the Fire roads, generally going in the opposite direction to the North face trail.
Anyone whos ever ridden it will know that there are lots of cheeky bits of single track and Bridleway forking off from the main NFT route and its actually quite hard not to just go and explore. One of the red arrows was pointing towards a particularly tasty looking bit of track.
Does anyone know if these Red arrows are a suggested route that maybe uses more of the natural stuff and if theres a suggested start point if you want to ride it.
Someone must know what its all about
Many Thanks

Suppose it could be.
Just strange how it was spray painted onto the fire-road.
Ther are plent of properly signposted walks so i was thinking maybe some Bikers may have marked a route for other to follow.
Thanks for the reply.0 -
Moving on from last month's paper-arrows-weighted-down-with-rocks, motorway-size fluoro signposts and arrows drawn with sawdust, this month on the Chase we also have red spray-painted arrows on some of the trails.
One day I might just follow them :twisted:0 -
Could the arrows have been left-over from the recent Grizedale Mountain Bike Challenge?0
