Mule Bars

On the last stage of this years tour of britain me and my little brother were scrounging for free bottles off of all the teams. The Garmin mechanics gave us some bottles and went here have a box of mango tango mule bars. Now I know I shouldn't be ungrateful for what they gave us but they were the most foul tasting things i have ever tasted. I was wondering whether anyone else had the same opinion as me

at training for my uni team the other day, we had a box of chocolate and banana recovery refuel bars that were about as dense as most of the contestants on x factor, and tasted neither of banana or chocolate.0

What are you on about? They're gorgeous! Especially the apple streudle one.
They had truckloads of them at the ToB sportive in Stoke. Wish I'd gone round the course stocking up on bars at each feed station now!0 -
I tried each and every flavour at the stand at London stage of TOB and I would rather chew on an actual Mule i think, not good at all."BEER" Proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy0

I bought the mango tango ones instead of my normal delicious zip vit yoghurt covered peach and apricot bars.
Was not impressed, but I guess they probably do what they are supposed to.0 -
I love Mule Bars! Especially the Hunza Nut & Mango Tango varieties.
What's wrong with you people???? :shock:0 -
I got a freebie mule bar on the Stoke ToB sportive. Don't remember what flavour it was, but it was somewhat flapjacky and very tasty.
Much nicer than the free sachet of degreaser which I inadvertently drank 70 miles in. :oops:0 -
+1 for the yuk vote I'm afraid.
Tried other varients (SIS, HIGH5, CNP etc) and cannot find one I like.0 -
i started getting the Mango Tango a while back, very nice and then tried the Chocolate Fig Fiesta, slight problem was fig stones to beware of.
whats cnp? i do tend to go back to powerbar performance and torq bars.
i so want the chocolate mint clif bar back again.0 -

Ahh, memories of the Dragonride, a few guys drank degreaser thinking it was a gel.0 -

It wasn't just me then!?
I rode a further two miles, then yacked my guts up and a marshall dialled 999. One trip in an ambulance and a glass of milk later I was discharged from A&E!
ToB organisers have very kindly and completely unprompted offered me free entry and a hotel room for two for next year's ride!0 -

I don't like the mango tango bars, but the choc/fig, apple streudel and pinacolada bars are lovely! Still prefer the taste of Maxim choc/banana bars, but the Mule ones are easier to eat on the go0
