I'm sure this will have been covered before but I couldn't see a recent thread.

Any advice on waterproof gloves? I've tried Sealskinz but don't like em...not only are they not waterproof but they get very hot. I know Rapha used to do a softshell glove made out of the same material as their softshell jacket which is very water resistant but I can't see any anywhere.

  • I got these Sidi gloves a while ago and find them quite good, waterproof, breathe quite well and comfy except the little finger is a bit too long - not in stock anymore at CRC though:

They have been so far for about 2 months! I Haven't been in any long torrential storms, but it has stood up to 30 minute blasts.

Surely the Rain or Rain 2 would be more waterproof?

mine are, been in the rain today with them on, no probs. You have to have your sleeve over the cuff and if thats not waterproof then it will get in there.

Had sealskinz for several years, perfectly waterproof. One day they let in water, hands got soaked, so I sent them back to the factory and they sent me a new pair two days later - there's no overt lifetime warranty, but this brilliant company did the right thing by me! If your sealskinz aren't waterproof, they have failed (which happens occasionally), send them back and get some new ones FOC!
