The side wall states a max PSI of 130......what do you recommend?
I'm quite a heavy rider, between 15.5-16 stone....

Hi,
I am just over 14 stone and set mine at 120psi.
I will lose some when removing the track pump though.
Feels softer than Bonti Race Hardcase at 100psi - which is nice :PNone of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -
I'm 15 stone and run 110. Going to try 120.0

I'm 16 stone and started running them at 110/120 but have recently dropped this to around 100/105.
Just try different pressures between 100-120ish and see how they feel to you.0 -
Pumped them up to 130psi, just about to go out but might reduce them to about 120ish....and see how that feels, i don't want them too hard, but also don't want to feel the rim on the road!My Road Bike:-

I always run my tyres fairly hard on the fair weather bike. 140 in the back 125-130 in the front. I'm heavier than 15-16 stone though. It's personal preference, anywhere between 100 and the max will be fine.0

Just been out, ran 110 in the front and 120 in the rear, these Vittorias absolutely rock!
They are so super smooth, they almost feel bouncy.
I had Bontrager Race Lite on the bike when new, they kept flatting, then i changed up to Bontrager Hard Case, and they felt so uncomfortable and hard but at least they did the job and stopped the flats for 10 months but then they started flatting so frequently so i thought i would try these.
These Vittorias were expensive there is no denying that, and they looks absolutely ugly on my bike as i have a lime green bike and these tires are a type of darker flat green, however the ride they give is so so worth it, i would definetely recommend to othersMy Road Bike:-

Are you insane?
The green of the Pavés is about as cool as one can get - they don't suit any bike, but all they do is say cobbles, rain, filth and riding hard through northern Europe.

I'm 70kg and run my Open-Paves at 95-100psi. I think they're great. I was running Krylion Carbons for much of recent spring/autumn/winters but they, with hindsight, felt a little dead compared to these.
The colour won't suit everyone or every bike but I like 'em. Currently have Aksiums on my Allez and Racing 3s on the Izoard shod with these tyres and think they look good.
I used to run my tyres at much highers PSI's (ran GP4000s at 125 and even Fortezza Tricomps at 140 ) fearing pinchers but I'm a bit of a recent convert to lower pressures.0 -
I am so tempted to get a set of these. Currently run Krylions which are great with only 1 P so far. I always run my tyres just under the limit. I always loose some air when removing the pump anyway. With so many unavoidable pot holes in my area i prefer to run at high PSI to avoid rim damage.
Like other have said they do feel quite dead, especially compared to the Pro3 which are the dogs danglies but cut/puncture way too easily in my area.0 -

I've run Open Corsas through the Winter in North Wales, but there's no way I'd risk them in a crappy English city like London or Manchester, I'd rather have a slightly "deader" ride, than risk punctures.
TBH Krylion Carbons feel no different from Pro Races, but I have ridden Open Tubs. Pro3 are no where near the "dog danglies" Perhaps you should try some 320TPI Vittorias or something like Veloflex Carbons. But if you are scared to used Pro3s in your area, I can't see why you are considering Paves anyway.0 -
I haven’t ridden the Vittoria’s or Veloflex but have got some Continental Force/Attack and they are stupendous. Absolutely fantastic set of tyres, feel so supple and bouncy that is impressive. I believe they are 330 TPI but not sure about that. You can buy a pair for £50 and they are better than my Kyrilion Carbons. Don’t get me wrong the Kyrilions are fantastic for £40 and they last double the miles but they don’t give the same quality of ride as the Force/Attacks.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

I have Force Attacks on one set of wheels (because it was 40 quid for the pair from Cycleswag) and Vittoria Open Paves on the other.
The Force Attacks are great, feel really fast but the Vittorias feel special.
Going to get some Vittoria Corsa tubs on the Zipps when the tyres on them need replacing..
I now run my Paves at 120psi.0 -
I'm 12stone and I run all my tyres at 115PSI - people would think that's too high for a person of my weight and gives a harsh ride but it's personal preference and I think any less and it's a sort and sluggish ride.
I have a pair of Open Corsas, I've done about 55 miles on them, even at 120PSI they felt like they where going flat. I'd probs try them again but I'm scared to try them on Manchester roads.0 -
My team-a almost rode thisa tyre onna Roubaix cobbles. Ifa we had I a beat Boonen. :-x0
