hi all,
what's a fair price for a trek 1.7 2008, about 1000 miles on it, in very good condition?
i think they used to retail for £800 or so, but have since increased to £950, and now £1150 under the 2.3 label.
thanks for your advice,
kerzane.

It's worth what you can get for it. It's worth bearing in mind that people seem to pay silly, sometimes stupid money for secondhand, popular brand bikes on Ebay.
God knows why they pay so much for 'em. Especially when they don't even know for sure what they are getting.0 -
fair enough.
i'll hope for around £500.
cheers.0 -
If your advert sounds genuine and you include some pics of the bike I think you will easily get that for it.
My top tip though for any ebayer would always be- LOW START PRICE!
If you start it at 99pence you will still get what you want. sellers who use a high start price usually get NO BIDS. the whole attraction of ebay is that people think they can get a bargain!0 -
thanks,
that's probably a good idea, hadn't though of it.
can i ask you,
if you were buying this bike, what's the highest price you'd pay? assuming good ac, pics, etc.
cheers,

Well it wouldn't surprise me if you were able to get £600 for it.
make sure your ad looks genuine! i.e lots of pics of the actual bike, tell them why you are selling it, disclose any faults, throw in a few extras if you've got them-you'd be surprised that even a pair of pedals actually fitted to the bike can make the difference for some people.0 -
What size?
Where are you?0
