Well I have a few items of clothing to wear when riding but I'm never really sure what I should buy/wear.
Especially coming into winter. I never know what to wear on the bottom half of me.
Pic and suggestion would be great.

I ride in shorts, but my Son prefers track bottoms... Even in the height of Summer. :?0 -

I like wearing shorts but it's a little cold at present so I'm thinking about legging type things.0 -

I just wear thermals under my summer gear and when it gets really cold I use a 1st layer fleace designed to go next to your skin on top of that. For the bottoms I use long cycling trousers from lidl and put my summer gear over the top. It looks completely daft. But you can spend a fortune on this stuff and the only thing worth spending money on IMO is shorts, shoes, gloves and lid. T-shirts are T-shirts. It doesn't matter if its a specs cycling one at 40 quid one or a burghaus from millets for 20.
Its good to go for one stuff that dries quickly.
I also carry a spare T-shirt and waterproofs, because I know that when it rains I will wait until I'm soaked and cold before I will put the waterproofs on.0 -

I just wear whatever, always shorts, football shorts. Old trainers, normal t-shirt with Altura jacket - bright yellow. Full length gloves and helmet. Come the winter....I get a bit colder.0

Normal t shirt is a bad idea. Cotton absorbs sweat and retains it making you feel colder still. Some bike specific stuff is all hype but base layers really do what they say on the tin.0
