Just bought a mini pump which claims to be adaptable to both types of valve but despite turning the bits around on the inside it wont pump ANY air into the tubes.
I'm going to smash something up very soon!!

well did ya smash it up or get it working !0

One way of getting them working is to drill out the rims and replace with a schrader. I really hate presta valves, even though they are technically superior.
They are much easier if you have a pump with a connecting hose/tube0 -
i like the presta vsl;ves but they dont look manly enough on my susser lol0

I pumped them up in the end. The problem was with the seal on the pump...I had turned on piece around but not another bit.
Was very close to launching the thing over the back fence!0 -
Same story here, Underpants.
It's stupid how much trouble two pieces can give you.
I mean how many combinations there are.
Just four, and still you can't figure it out the right one.0 -

start by throwing the inner tube in the bin-or use it as a chain guard
then get your black and decker drill-dust it off
fit in the 8mm drill bit-given it a little tighten
procede to drill through the existing inner tube hole in rim-with a big grin on your face
now fit normal shcrader inner tube and pump up-then feel really smug, point to the presta inner tube and ha-howd ya like them apples huh
Dont look at it-ride it! they are tools not f*cking ornaments
