DH Inner Tubes

Just a quick question and wandering if anybody has an answer?
Will a DH Inner Tube (Size 26 x 2.2/2.5) fit in my XC wheels with 26 x 2.25 tyres?
Fancy getting some tougher Inner tubes as Im fed up of getting pinch flats, and cant afford to go tubless at the moment. Heard some rumours that if the tubes are too big they will pop out of the tyre when cornering.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

Yes they will fit, no problem. I run a set of maxxis 2.5 innertubes and they have been fine in 2.35 and 2.4 tyres.0

Yes, but they carry a weight penalty as they are thicker/more durable, less prone to punctures0

Again yes.
I run 2.2"-2.5" on a Maxxis Highroller 2.1".
The inner tube is still inside for 10 months.0 -
If you dont mind the extra weight, then I can recommend Giant Thorn Resistant tubes.
You WILL need a good pump to blow them up though, they are 5mm thick tubes!
And they are 500g.....each
I run one on the back sometimes, I recently got 3 fairly big tears in the sidewall of my rear tyre on a very bad rocky section. First I knew about it was when I got home, the tubes stayed perfect the whole time.
It honestly is like having another tyre inside your tyre, no pinch flats either.0 -
Cheers for the replies everyone.
Will have a look on the internet for some DH tubes tonight and give them a go!!
Cheers

Hey but don't look at specific DH tubes for 2.5"/2.7" tires.
They are HUGE. They won't fit your tire.0
