Rear mech jockey wheels - when should I grease?

I have an XT (M761) rear mech, but I have never greased or touched them in about three years. They get moderate milage. Do I need to remove and grease them, or is there no need?
I never really paid much attention to them until now!

If they spin freely, leave them. Just keep them clean.0

OK SS, but surely at some point they will need a little grease in their bushings..?

not really, keep them clean, the xt ones are bearings with seals so stay really clean.
If you want you can de-grease them and re-grease!0 -
Sorry to drag out an old thread (!), but according to last months WMB mag, you should periodically coat jockey bushings with a spot of grease, even XT mechs.
I'll leave mine for a while...
