Hi all
A pal has just had a garage clear out and gave me the following bike which he has had for about 3 years and only used about a dozen times?
GT AGGRESSOR XC 2
Deore front/rear derailuer+ shifters
Rockshock 2 forks
Alex DP 17 disc rims with Tioga factory xc 1 rubber
Truvavit chain rings and crank arms
Tektro IO mechanical disc brakes
Any good and reccomend up grades if needed without spending a fortune cos I dont have the dosh

Yes.
And for free? Wish I had mates like that :-)
If it's been lying around a long while you may want to take it to your local bike shop for a service before exploring the countryside. Some components might have rusted or seized.
But if aint't broke.... don't fix it... till it isCool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

I had one of those as my first proper MTB, if it's silver it's a 2007 bike.
Don't bother changing owt until it breaks, the rear disc brake may sieze due to moisture getting trapped in the cable, this can be a PITA but a bit of lube down the outter will help, eventually I replaced the brakes with Deore Hydros and the fork with a Tora U-Turn and it was a bloody good bike0 -
