Strata Florida Ride - West Wales
I used to ride a route from Strata Florida Abbey up into the Cambrians along what I think was a BOAT or Green Lane. It took you up through a forest then across a river, I think the beginnings of the Severn, several times - in Winter the river could be a torrent and fording it meant wading - before dropping you on to the Abergwesyn road ,near the Devil's Staircase, which you could use to take you back to Strata via Tregaron or you could head back into the forest and descend the BOAT that you'd initially come up.
I loved this ride but havent done it for 3 or 4 years and it was beginning to get chewed up by 4x4s and motorbikes in the time I rode it and consequently a little less enjoyable each time I did it. Anyone done this ride recently and know what state it's in? I'm keen to give ita go for old times sake
