Lexmark Ink Cartridges

Anyone know of a good place where I can get these cheaply? Went into WHSmiths today and they tried to charge me £40 for one black cartridge!!! My printers not even worth that much!

Any site recommendations would be gratefully received.

    IMO the compatible cartridges are as good as the originals. Just looked and CPC have the Lexmark for £20

    I'd recommend both websites. I always buy from the 7dayshop or MX2 depending on who's cheapest.

    7dayshop or choice stationery for me.

    I use the manufacturer's carts until the 1 year warranty's up, then switch to compatibles.

    Last 3 printers have been Canon; don't know if it's the compatible carts but the print heads seem to clog irreparably after 4 or 5 years. Mind you, by then the technology has usually improved to the extent that it's worth buying a new printer anyway.

    Our new one is an iP4600 (already superseded by the near identical iP4700!) and produces amazing photo prints.

    I had a Lexmark printer a few years ago. Replacement ink cartridges cost more than the printer! Then it went wrong so I threw it out the window I hated it so much. The quality of it's printing was variable to say the least, so in replacing it, I bought an Epson instead which has been much better quality and ink cartridges are much more reasonably priced..............until that is it buggered up, but this time I think it was due to a driver software prob. I haven't been bothered to solve the problem as it is more time and cost effective to just pay to print out as and when on a quality printer at 10p a sheet.

    I ordered cartridges at 13:00 the other day and got a mail at 13:05 saying my order had been despatched and arrived at 09:00 following morning.
