I've been looking at computers and it's a mine field, so I'm looking for some recommendations. If my LBS were more friendly I'd ask them as well :D

I am looking for just Speed & Cadence as the main features.
I want cordless, however the speed sensor needs to be fixed to the back wheel for turbo work - is this possible as a wireless set up?

What do you recommend?

Cheers....

    Cateye Strada Double Wireless
    Cateye V2
    Cateye V3 (has HRM too)

...those are three that all have cadence too and the sensor is one single unit on the chainstay, so you're getting speed info from the rear wheel like you want.

    Cheers for that! :D

I've been reading through lots of computer write ups and not once saw that any sensors were rear mounted. Then when you mention Cateye Strada Double Wireless, I had a look at the write up on it at Ribble and there in B&W it says, 'mounts to any rear chainstay' - Obviousy I couldn't see the wood for the trees!! :D

Yeah, the sensor is a bit of a fiddle to get it in smack on the right position for the cadence magnet and the spoke magnet but it does all work nicely. Even though the sensor is a little on the large side you also don't need anything on the fork so the front of the bike stays looking nice and 'clean'.

Just bear in mind on the Double Wireless you don't get things like 'average cadence', just the current cadence, but Ive never wanted the average figure myself. Also the timer on that model is an auto stop/start, it doesn't have a manual stopwatch. On the plus side, the computer itself is small and discreet if thats the kind of thing you want.
