  • First few orders I placed with them had the Haribo's. Last couple of orders...nothing.
    Must be the credit crunch!

Yup, got some lights on Saturday - one pack. Very quickly snaffled by my three-year-old though. Also have a couple of bottle-openers.

And if you have a platinum discount, coupled with their free postage, I still find them difficult to beat either for price or service.

    seems pretty random though.
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

I'll happily for go haribo for cheaper products elsewhere, wiggle just isn't very competative anymore. though the wiggle logo haribo is a great tough.
I've only ever ordered from WIggle three times and had Haribo every time. Twice it was the Wiggle logo ones (very cool) and once the jelly baby/gummy bear things. :D
  • I received the haribo sweets and was insulted to see they've got gelatine in them (animal skin and bone). Never, ever will I order from Wiggle again and i don't really see how vegetarians can buy anything from this company.

if your insulted by a pack of free sweets you must lead a very sheltered life.
  • No, not really mate - I just happen to think big companies should show respect for their customers beliefs. A lot of cyclists are vegetarians.

true , but a free turnip is unlikey to have the same kudos with non-vegetarian customers.
    :D
  • You make a good point there:)

My suggestion to Wiggle would be provide non-gelatine sweets (no one could tell the difference taste-wise), but maybe that would cost an extra 1p an order or something, so being entirely profit-driven, that company won't change unless enough veggies actually boycott them.
  • I had them in my first order :D but never since :(

agreed, Chainreaction are far cheaper in my experience.

ps I bought a packet of Haribo's last week and found a set of Fox Talas 36 in them. That was a nice suprise!
  • Got some with my first order ever with them, cannot for the life of me remember what i ordered though, wasn't expensive, The next order i got nothing even though it was about £130 more than the previous order.

Havn't had any free stuff from CRC for a while. Superstar on the otherhand have never failed me no matter what size the order. They must realise i'm a fatty!

Good grief my goodness man alive calm down dear.

They don't know you're a vegetarian, so you can't blame 'em for that.
And nobody's forcing you to eat them.

    Sheeesh.

I got some low-calorie electrolyte drinks tablets from CRC recently. Low-calorie electrolyte drinks eh? What's that all about?: the ones with glucose in taste bad enough but at least you get an energy burst to help you up the hill.....straight in the bin with those I'm afraid!
