Wheels for Commencal Max Max

I am seriously thinking of buying this bike now. However I have heard that the wheels are made practically made of jelly. If I bought the bike; would I have to buy whole new wheels or just rims?

just change them if you damage them...

Would it definately be the rims or could the spokes cause it to buckle?

just get the wheels tensioned and trued when you get it. Properly pre-stressed wheels will be fine.

More likely to be the actual build quality rather than the components.

If you're wary of them get em checked out at a proper bike shop & then ride em till they die, then upgrade.
