Wheels upgrade: Shimano RS80?

Getting a nice tax rebate soon and thought I'd treat the bike. Along with some tyres I was thinking of some wheels too.

Having looked on here a bit the shimano RS80 seem to get great feedback and are at a reasonable pricepoint for me. I like the near silent hubs on my current rs10s and don't fancy sacrificing that little luxury.

Does anyone have a reason to talk me out of them?

Secondly, Has anyone seen them any cheaper than the £314 at ribble? I've google shopped and checked the more well known online retailers and this was the cheapest I found.

And lastly, how much would I be likely to get for my second hand Shimano rs10s? They have about 500 miles on them.

Cheers!

I have a pair of RS80's. I saw the Ribble price and rang Evans cycles instead as their delivery is quicker- they matched the price and i had them within 48 hours.
Also I had the option of taking them back to my local store if I didn't like them or there was a problem. Evans will always price match products in stock cheaper elsewhere. Worth remembering.

    Nice one, cheers.

Can I ask what they replaced and how you're getting on with them?

i went from RS10's to RS80s, there great tho the hub isnt all that quiet when out of the box, when freewheeling that is.

but i suspect it will loosen up a bit with more miles. But to be fair you can hardly hear it when out on the road,

there noticeably stiffer, lighter and better looking than the RS10's.
