Ambitious or stupid?!

I'm a bike commuter doing a hilly 12 miles per day. I run marathons and 20+ mile fell races, and did a 30 mile mtb race a couple of months ago.
Am thinking of signing up for the Tour of the Peaks in Oct and have never cycled anything like 100 miles. Will I die?!

No, just bring plenty of food and make sure you eat and drink regularly0

It is possible to be both!
I guess you will feel stupid:
- on the way to the start
- between about miles 60 and 90
and you will feel ambitious:
- when you see some of the old lardy types like me at the start
- for the first 10 miles
- for the last 10 miles
Go at your own pace, eat and drink lots, rest when you need to.0 -

You mean between Winnatt's and Holme Moss?!
Thanks fellas. Not completely crazy then. I like the way this is going...
And I still have time to get a couple of longer rides in too.0 -
