Hi all, just bought this brake but need a mount adaptor ( which I only just relised) however, i'm not sure if I need a 6 inch or 7 inch one?
I measured the diameter of my rotors and they come in at 6.5 inches.
Could anyone please make this easy for me!

Cheers
Rob

Well in that case you definitely DON'T want the 6" adaptor....

    What discs are they?

if you have measured it correctly you will need a rear 160mm adaptor and 2.5mm (X2) of spacers.
    Or a front 185mm adaptor.

  • Discs tend to be measured in Metric, and the common sizes are 160mm, 185mm and 203mm. I believe Magura have some bespoke disc size, but we'll ignore that.

Traditionally the rear brake disc is a 160mm which equates to 6.29921 (6.3) inches
    If it's 185mm that would be 7.67717 (7.7) inches

    My money's on the 160mm

if the old brakes were the Giant copies of the old Hope C2 then i would be thinking 165mm

as that was one of the old Hope standards.
