Both loops - 1 and 2. Cool but dry weather - misty at the top. Superb singletrack.

First some of the more uncut video of the best sections:

The last one is an overview of the whole ride:

    Great vid 8)
    Some fast riders too :D

'Machy is one of the first places I'm going to visit when my Full susser build is complete at the end of the Month.
I last did it on my lightweight XC hardtail and it was tough going !

    Cheers,

    Chris :)

You'll love it on your full suss Chris. Don't miss out on Loop 2 - it is very special - almost like you landed on a different planet (from Loop 1). But it's not well signposted so keep your eyes peeled...

  • Full suss at Penmachno? That's a bit over the top. A good hardtail is all that's needed.

Agree about loop 2 though. Once off the fire road the singletrack just goes on and on.

Agreed - I first did it on a cheap, heavy, hardtail - an old Kona Hoss - and it was brilliant...

Its luxury on a full suss though 8)

Hardtail Bl**dy luxury I did it on a unicycle after doing a 24 hour shift down t' pit

I have done it on a rigid singlespeeder but it was flippin hard work and it took weeks for my knees to stop clicking and my back to stop twinging.

Full suss for rickety old wimps like me from now on. I can do Pen and still walk the next day.
