Raleigh Racer from my past

Ok - looking for a bit of help recreating my past!

About 20yrs ago when I was 16 i was given a brand new raleigh racing bike as a birthday present from my folks. I remember the tubing was of an " aero" profile, possibly reynolds.
I also seem to remember they only came in 2 colour schemes and mine was a light metallic blue.
I have scoured the internet looking for retro bikes and still cant find the bike I remember.

I have a picture of it but its too low quality but I can tell it had an "aero" shaped waterbottle as standard, black suede saddle and black bar tape on the drops. As this was 20 yrs ago it had a conventional threaded headset and stem, along with downtube mounted shifters.

Since getting back into biking I have thought about this bike a lot, principally because I remember it was the last present i ever got for a birthday before my dad died and the only photo I have is with him holding the bike:

Can anyone help me identify it, it means a lot to me. Thanks in advance!

Came with a Sachs Heliomatic freewheel? An early cassette type set-up but the splines were more of a screwthread with something like 1tpi.

it is indeed a raleigh quasar, they made two bikes in this series - the pulsar and the quasar with aero tubing.

Hi people I have a Raleigh quasar I have had it since I was 13 and I maybe selling it not sure if I should it holds some many memories. I am new on here so not sure if there is any interest in my bike it's all original. Only new handle bar and tyres and tubes.i want to post a picture but not sure how to

I remember getting a Raleigh Equipe in white with the grey/yellow flashes for my 12th birthday. Loved that bike, even after i stacked it in a high speed downhill gravel road incident :-/

raleigh elix I bought about 1990ish , 531 with shimano exage . I thought it was wonderful and road it to bits .
