Any Ideas On What These Brakes Are.

Out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone knows what this disc brake is although I have no picture so I will describe it as best I can. Ok was in Halfords today and I saw a bike someone had come into the shop with, but the brakes, never seen these before. They had no paint, name or markings on, they was plan silver but what caught my eye was the levers. Imagine a lever that looks kinda similar to a Deore m535 lever but with a cylinder on top where the reservoir cap is. Sorry that's the best I can do, should have just asked really.

They was hydraulic, the bike was a Carrera but not stock build as it had a set of SIDs on.0

Or a Giant MPH maybe. On those the cylinder is horizontal. As far as I know they were a design that Giant lisenced from Hope.0
