hi all,
my aunt has recently got quite into the whole mountain biking lark and is therefore looking to replace her old bike with something a bit more suitable. She has been trailing round half the bike shops in glasgow but has felt there has been way too much conflicting advice for her to make an informed decision.
We've had a look at the what hardtail section but struggling to find anything but the hardrock in the area for her to try. Of all the other bikes we have shortlisted only the spesh hardrock, the rockhopper (09) and the kona cindercone are in stores for her to try or within her budget, or available still in her size.
She tried the rockhopper but couldn't take it outside because of the rain although i imagine it wouldn't be a problem for her to go back.
Could anyone recommend anything else to have a look for at the moment. Or would she be better waiting a few weeks for some more of the 2010 models to come in?
She is mostly going to be riding trail centres and looking for a men's bike. £600 is the absolute limit.
thanks in advance

Carrera Fury, with money left over for a women-specific saddle. I'm a broken record like, but it's hard to beat, at full price it's better value than most bikes are in the sales. The 08 one is slightly better if you can find one, the 09 is very handsome mind.Uncompromising extremist0
