Campag compatible 10sp wheel - budget limitations...(!)

OK,
My first build is about to start and I have already made the choice of going Campag just because I fancy the change.
I am planning a chorus chainset and veloce everything else but am a bit stuck on the choice of wheel. I only really have a max of £160 ish as its my 3rd bike and I want to rack up some miles on it mainly for training and fitness. I have looked at campag Khamsin at the cheaper end and campag Vento Reaction at the dearer (to me) end.
If I was going shimano I could try the RS10 etc but wonder if there is a comparable campy spec wheel? or woudl I just be best off with the £150 Vento Reaction?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

You might find some Mavic Aksiums under your budget if you're lucky. I'd go for the Ventos though.0

Cheers mate - do you have good experience of the ventos? they seem like a good wheel for the money?Planet X Superlight with Fulcrum 3's

Aksiums - not the lightest but pretty bombproof and can be picked up pretty cheap. Campagnolo wheels have a deservedly great reputation too for quality and durability - no experience of Ventos, only Shamals.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

I am now even more torn! the fulcrums, mavics and campags all in my sights, finding a winner will be hard though!!Planet X Superlight with Fulcrum 3's

Not a lot between them IMHO - I'd go for the ones which look best if you can't decide.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

I have Khamsin's and love them to bits, true ans smooth rollers. I also love the freehub noise!0

You know guys - thats 2 bits of advice after my own heart, I really like the spoking on the Khamsins and if they have a funky freehub noise then all the better!
Its a blue plaet x superlight frame so maybe the fulcrums might look cool?
Pic of the frame is here, what would look good? I am thinking white seat and bar tape, chorus crankset and don't hate me here but blue sidewalls on the vredestein ricorso's !!!!!!!Planet X Superlight with Fulcrum 3's

if you can possibly afford it - go for the fulcrum5's at £159
the khamsin are a really basic, cheap, and very heavy wheel! - OK for winter training but not much else - they are below the Vento in the order of wheel models and the vento are about level with the aksiums - whereas the Fulcrum 5's are a serioulsy decent wheelset - and not a huge price difference0 -

I see what you are saying there mate, Presumably the fulcrums will take some winter riding and I am also not very light (82kg's) I am willing to spring £150 if they are worth it!!Planet X Superlight with Fulcrum 3's

yes - the fulcrums will be fine - they are very well regarded even for heavier riders (you're not that heavy at 82ks btw - all wheels will be fine!)
Dont get me wrong - the khamsins are a nice looking wheel and they have a good reputation for strength (I even fancy a set for my winter trainer) - but the fulcrums are a different league.0 -
Birthday today and a lovely set of Fulcrum 5's turned up - I am made up! very nice wheelset, thanks all for the advice!!!Planet X Superlight with Fulcrum 3's
