Does anyone have any experience of running both of these tires? Specifically the smaller casing ones 2.0/2.1 etc?

Im running Ralphs at present but thinking of changing to CRK's due to tire clearance problems.

Cheers

  • Yeah did considder them, want something with smaller, more tightly spaced knobles though, hence thinking Race Kings.

Besides I can get them trade, but not the Maxxis ones!!
  • got 2.2 protection and 2.2 supersonic RK's and they're both faster in the dry/hardpack/grass than the Ralphs, but they do clog very quickly in clay type soils even if its only slightly damp.

Depends what conditions are like round your area.

Ralphs over the Contis, just personal preference. And they look COOL!
  • I have run both in the past, not keen on the RK s but I cant seam to get on with conti rubber, liked the Ralphs but did find the front end washed out a bit in dusty corners Now use in dry /damp conditions Kenda small block eights and my new fav Michelin Wildrace R 2.0[The old xc dry 2 ] The michelin's dont always get good reviews but I love them in the dry. Just shows you how much is down to your own style of riding
