Here's exactly what you were looking for. Bought this earlier this year, I've upgraded a few bits since, but I'm well pleased
There's a brushed finish too but I think this is "nicely understated" - looks like both finishes are out of stock at the moment though in medium"The only absolute statement is that everything is relative" - anon0 -
yeah good winter bike red, just stick some roadracers on there and you're good to go. thought about one for a while gotta say. There was good reviews when they first came out. Nice.0

How did you know it was going to be my winter bike? I don't think I'm going to be putting those Crud things on though, got them on my commuter but it hasn't rained yet to try them out.
I'm planning to get the SRAM Red version, but put my bits off my Nero Corsa on it, and keep the Red stuff for a number one (WW) build after Xmas.0 -

Cos that's what I would use it for anyway. You're going to have problems if you think you can use full mudguards on it mate, that much I do know. Just ain't got the clearance surely.0 -

I rode last winter with full guards and still got covered in crap. Commuting with guards yes, normal riding no.
Ah even better mate ...0 -

Didnt that chainset get recalled0 -
Yep it did, it's now got a FSA K force chainset. To be honest I can't tell the difference though I know it's marginally heavier. BTW as usual PX's customer service was great during the swap over (and since)"The only absolute statement is that everything is relative" - anon0

You must have put them on wrong then ? I was anti guards for years and years before I succumbed, but after putting them on - I wouldnt be without them in the winter. You do need decent flaps though - without them its only half a job.0 -
They were fitted right, but I think it only rained like twice all winter when I went out with the bike, whereas it seemed to rain everyday over summer, and I didn't use guards over summer.
I'm just fed up of riding a crap bike over the winter, I might aswell ride one I like.0 -
Here is my industrial polished Dura-Ace one in medium. Box-fresh 3 weeks ago. Rides beautifully and is a lot of bike for the money. It is now my all year round bike. The wheels are OK and should be enough to see me through the winter before a new set in the spring, other than that all I have changed is the seatpost and saddle (not sure about that Selle Italia) tyres (Stelvios like to puncture) and the white grip tape.
I agree, why ride a crap bike over the winter?
With its On-One stable mate

Surprising how compact it is in this piccie above whereas in the pics on the Planet X site, doesn't look that compact. Not that it matters to me of course, I would ride one regardless if it fitted me properly.0

There is every possibility you can squeeze full size mudguards into the frame.......
Not a P-X but:
NapD's Crud guards fit a treat on his Litespeed?!!0
