Is a Mavic XM317 a fair warranty swap for a Specialized RHD, 26", pinned, alloy double wall, 32h?
I am still learning about bike bits and use my bike for commuting so I want an equivalent quality component but I am not sure if what they are offering me is up to replacing what has broken.

It is a 09 Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc, the rim started falling apart yesterday.

Looks like the original might have been badly built too. Hopefully a rebuild will be better.0
