Dunno, but I'd start by going down the A6 and getting on the Fallowfield Loop to get to Chorlton.0

The A6 goes from 1 to the other0

Don't do the A6...it's crap......too much traffic dodging..... after Levenshulme.....
A6 as far as Levenshulme, then go for A34 via Albert Rd (but it's closed at the moment) - A34 into the Uni area then I'm lost.......
I had to ride the A6 in last week (Albert Road shut), had two other cyclists that were an absolute nightmare...RLJ and all sorts..... me catching them on my fixed road bike, they ...jumped lights etc...0 -
You could try A6 until Longsight/Gorton then turn on to Kirkmanshulme Lane, which leads to Pottery Lane and Alan Turing Way. Follow Alan Turing Way past the City of Manchester Stadium and Velodrome to Queens Road and basically straight all the way in to Salford.
This may be a slightly longer route than through the City Centre but it has good separated cycle lanes.
If you call up Manchester City Council's Environment Department on 0161 954 9000 they can arrange for free cycle maps to be posted out.0
