I've just realised I've got the whole of Sunday completely free so I thought I'd pop in here and see if there was a ride on, but I was dismayed to find that nothing was happening.
Have they died a death?

I'm up for another. Mountain biking this sunday though.
Saw you riding down Garrett lane t'other day Jamey. Wednesday night, I was about to pull into Sainburys car park in Wandsworth when you went zooming by the entrance going in the other direction (towards Earlsfield)
You live local? Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur0 -
Get your arse up to the Midlands on Sunday morning - we've got a small group ride going on from my houseChunky Cyclists need your love too! :-)

2011 Trek Madone 4.5
2012 Felt F65X
Proud CX Pervert and quiet roadie. 12 mile commuter0 -
I haven't a clue, to be honest, i've started my job, so less free time! I'm also thinking of at some point dusting off the MTB and taking that off though I haven't really bonded with the downs off road it would be fair to say.0

Hey, apologies for not spotting you, I tend to be in a bit of a trance for that particular part of the commute as the bit between the lights on Wandsworth triangle and the next proper set of lights is both a bit of an SCR fest and a bit dicey with all the buses turning, changing lanes and whatnot.
I live in Croydon so by that part of the commute I'm just coming up to the halfway point and usually trying (but failing) to make up some time.
Shout my name next time (shouting anything else will probably make me think I've just done something naughty ) and I'll say hi.0 -
I would have shouted, but I was in my car at the time, so thought better of it.
You must have a pretty long commute, you're still about 7 miles from Croydon at that point aren't you?Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur0 -
Yeah, it's 14 each way.
Croydon > White City > Croydon.
That stretch of road always seems quite open to the wind too, or maybe that's just where I start flagging. I've just remembered that Wednesday night I had some woman not far behind who'd been wobbly going round the one-way system and then RLJd the junction just before you saw me so I was probably trying to put some distance between us so i didn't have a repeat at the next set of lights which are always red.0 -
You're right about the wind, it whistles down that road at a fair old lick. Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur0
