... :( :x :cry: :twisted: :cry::o

...I'm off to the bike shop to buy a nice long, grown up pump, or inflator, as they are now called...

...never tried CO2, any good?

    ...the very idea...I'm trying to start a sensible cycling gear related thread... :wink:
    ...all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...
  • dunno but the mini pump I do have while seems to slowly work at home in the rain last fairy visit failed to do the job so I've moved to CO2 and we shall see.
  • CO2 is okay for an emergency but bear in mind that is expands and contracts due to temperature differences more than air.

    I bought a track pump on ebay that will pump my tyres from flat to road pressure in about 20 strokes. Excellent piece of kit imo.

    Blackburn Air Support - a mini pump that actually works, cheapish too.

    you NEED a proper trackpump for home though, that goes without saying.
    Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur
  • Mini pump + Co2 for use on the road = perfect. If you use the gas then reinflate the tires with your trackpump once home.
  • I just carry a zefal x3 with me on the bike.
