Going to Exmouth for a week going to take my mtb any suggestions of where to go?

    Exmouth isn't all that hilly itself, but you can head up to Haldon Forest near Exeter and there's some stuff around there. There are built trails in Haldon Forest Park although much of the decent stuff is still under (re)construction, but the red run is a bit of fun for an hour or so, and other than that the rest are family trails. You can find your own routes though and wander outside of the 'park' area into the rest of the forest and hills around but never too sure on rights of access.

    Dartmoor isn't that far away from there either, though I've never cycled it and supposedly off roading is mostly banned so it's just bridleways etc. There's Exmoor too but that's further away.

    Non-mtb there's a cycle path along the coast, running up to Exeter and then back down the other side of the river.

    you can also get alot of good riding over woodbury common and also tavistock woodlands is not to far away if u fancy a look out there although u do need to buy a day membership for insurance there. have a look at / http://www.woodlandriders.com
