Peak District - favourite day route?

Hi
Every year, a bunch of us have a weekend in the Peak, which we always enjoy, but apparently I always choose a cr@p route.
e.g. last year we did the Edale / Kinder / Jacobs Ladder loop which I thought was awesome, but some of the others didn't enjoy 'cos (a) they're pussies, and (b) they had to push a bit.
So, need a good route for a group of 10 blokes of mixed ability (we all MTB, but are mainly road riders)... nice bit of downhill, nothing too technical up etc etc. The closer to Buxton the better, but it's not as if the Peak is a big place! We're off in mid-October.
Cheers
Ed

Eh? Biggest National Park in the country!!
Anyhoo, I've got a good 'un. Starts in Eyam, heads down to Bakewell, round Chatsworth and Edensor to Pilsley and Hassop then Back to Eyam.
It's about 23 miles in total, nothing too difficult and a decent ride to boot.
If you'll PM me your e-mail address I'll send you a route map.0 -
There is a good one round Chelmorton, Priestcliffe, Monsall Dale, Cressbrook, Millers Dale, Wormhill, Topley Pike, King Sterndale, Horseshoe Dale and back to Chelmorton. Distance about 28km.
You could even start from Buxton as the route passes within 5km.0 -
